So today was Josiah's birthday! He was so funny and cute today. We took him to favorite restaurant, Red Robin, where he always behaves. He also had his first taste of delicious birthday ice cream! I love him so much and I can't wait to continue watching him grow every day while I'm still at home.
In other news, I finished another headband today!
I love the white a lot. I can't wait to make more! But first I need to wait for my next pay check so I can buy more yarn colors. :)
Speaking of work, I FINALLY get to work tomorrow. I work at a summer day camp and I haven't been put to work since Monday. What sucks is that I'm only working 2 hours tomorrow. 2 HOURS. Not enough. I'm supposed to be working 9-10 hour shifts. They keep cutting back my hours. If they don't make me work at least 3 days next week, I'm going to be so pissed.
But you know what's exciting?! I'm going back to Boone next weekend! It's my roommate Olivia's birthday on July 5th! I can't wait to celebrate! :D And I've missed my room at school terribly. It's ridiculous. I have so much stuff to bring back to my apartment.
Anyway, I better get ready for bed and call Spencer. We're spending the night at his house tomorrow and going to Charlotte on Saturday morning! Woo!

Nothing but decorating and surprise back pains.
So today basically consisted of a delicious sandwich, crocheting, my grandma arriving, Target shopping, me decorating my brother's birthday cake, and my back pains deciding to kick in again.
1st off: DELICIOUS SANDWICH. Okay, this sandwich was awesome. Whole grain bread, provolone cheese, turkey, and bacon. NOM. I think I just might make it again tomorrow.
I also did a LOT of crocheting today. I finished a rainbow ear warmer/headband and made a few tiny bows as well!
Next, my grandma finally came to visit! I don't even remember the last time I saw her. She's still quite the worrisome lady, but apparently she plays poker with her friends. For some reason, I think that's awesome. I told her we should play poker sometime while she's here, haha.
I went to Target with my mom later to get dinner supplies and the cutest thing happened. I was shopping around for things on my mom's list when I hear a little voice say, "That girl is pretty!" I peek over my shoulder, and sure enough, I see a little girl looking at me. She was so cute! She waved at me, so I smiled at her. Later I see her again, and she says, "It's that girl again!" And she started waving again, so this time I waved back. As we were leaving the store, I was telling my mom how adorable this girl was, and then we see her and her dad leaving the store right as we were leaving. Then she says to her dad, "Hey, it's that pretty girl! Byeeeeeee!"
She made my day.
My brother's birthday is tomorrow, so I also slaved over his cake and iced it as best as I could, given my limited working supplies. I think it turned out rather nice, if I do say so myself!
The picture doesn't do the cake justice since I took it with my phone, but trust me, it looks good considering that it was all decorated with a single butter knife.
So lastly... my back pains. My back was killing me not too long ago, and I went to the doctor's a month ago to see what could be wrong with it. After urine samples, x-rays, and expensive medications, apparently it is still there. I was sitting down today and tried to get up, and my back hurt so bad to where the pain forced me to stay down. I just want this pain to go AWAY. And the medications don't even work. It sucks.
In other news, I'm going to Charlotte with my boyfriend for the weekend! I can't wait to get away from my house for a little while, even if it is only for two days. I'll be able to see my friends, too! :)

Crazy cleaning day
I cannot believe how much I've done today! Waking up early really does do wonders. And so does coffee. ;)
Before I continue today's adventures, I should probably give a head's up to those who don't know who is who. That would be everyone reading this, unless you know me personally.
Danielle = older sister
Emily = younger sister
Josiah = baby brudder
I woke up early this morning to go with my mommy and siblings to Emily's boyfriend, Daniel's farm. (Emily is my younger sister.) When we got there, I fell in love with practically every animal on that farm. He has 3 horses, a miniature pony, two dogs, a bunch of chickens, four cats, and even some wild birds that made their nests in his garage. The saddest thing was this baby bird that fell out of one of the nests just sitting there on the ground. I wanted to help him so badly! But if anyone gets near the baby bird, they get swooped down upon by the mama bird.
Anyway, all of the animals were adorable. Going there made me want a farm, haha. Or maybe just a cat. I don't know why, but I've been extremely fond of cats lately. Crocheting... cats... Ahhh! I'm turning into a grandma! Before I know it, I'm going to be sitting in a rocking chair watching soap operas wondering where my dentures went! o_O
Speaking of grandmas, mine is coming tomorrow! I had to clean the entire house today in preparation for her arrival. I don't even remember the last time I saw her, so I'm excited to see her. But sometimes I get scared when grandparents come over. Mostly because I'm afraid I'll say something they will be completely appalled by and destroy any kind of love they ever had for me. Some old people are bitter like that. So I always feel like I'm walking on eggshells around grandparents.
After cleaning, Spencer came over! I met Spencer when I first started going to college and we've been dating for over a year and a half. He gets to live closer to me this summer because I hooked him up with a thuper thweet internship with my dad's company. It's kind of weird that my dad is his boss, but it's also kind of fun. I feel like I've become somewhat closer with my dad since Spencer has been working there.
So Spencer and I went to my favorite mall. I got the delicious smelling incense I've been wanting to buy for weeks now and Spencer finally got his first incense burner! He got one for cones, which is actually pretty cool. I like my stick incense burners way too much to switch over to cones. I got 100 sticks total: 25 Cool Water, 25 Sandalwood, and 50 China rain. If you didn't guess by the amounts I chose, China Rain is the BEST. After the mall, we went to Wendy's. I got this delicious berry, almond, and chicken salad, which was actually quite tasty. I definitely recommend it, especially for those who aren't too crazy about eating fast food all the time, like me. :)
I better get to bed, now. I think I might be making my brother's cake tomorrow. His birthday is on Thursday! I can't wait to see him attempt to blow out his candles. :3 He's been pretty good at blowing his firetruck whistle, but candle flames are pretty enticing... he might just end up trying to grab them. We'll see how it goes!
Nighty night!

New beginnings...
I came to a conclusion that this blog was a bit boring, so I decided to delete all of my old posts and start over.
Facts are fun, so here's some I'll share about myself:
1. Elephants are my favorite animals.
2. I am crazy about Star Wars and a variety of other nerdy things.
3. I have an older and a younger sister as well as a little brother who will be two this week.
4. I want to work at Disney World someday.
5. I am terrified of needles, but I really want more ear piercings. I've even been considering a tattoo lately. (I would definitely chicken out last minute/pass out instantly, though.)
6. Sushi is probably my favorite food, but I also love avocados.
7. Hot Rod is my favorite movie. Andy Samberg = dream boat
8. I love Natalie Portman.
9. Right now I am in college studying education.
10. I just recently learned how to play Magic. If you don't know what that is... it's an extremely nerdy card game. That's all I'm going to say about that.
11. I tend to worry a lot and keep lists of everything of remote importance to me so I don't have to worry about forgetting them.
12. I've always wanted to write children's books, but I don't know where to begin.
13. I love to decorate and organize everything.
14. I love reading, but can never find the time to sit down and finish a book. I have too many half read books lying around, but I'm working on The Hobbit right now.
15. I am working at a day camp for the summer. It is definitely a challenging job and makes me realize how much patience I'm going to need if I still want to become a teacher at the end of this summer.
16. I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano.
17. I have just recently learned how to crochet. So far I can only crochet headbands/earwarmers and bows, but one of these days I'm going to make a giant blanket!
18. I hate bare feet.
19. I have an awesome sense of smell.
20. I would love to have a small pet for a companion right now because people oftentimes become too frustrating for me.
And that's it for now!
