I have a quiz tomorrow.

I've been trying to study all night, but I've come to a sad realization that it just isn't going to happen. The professor for this class is impossible to understand with his thick, Russian accent, so that is the main contributing factor to my lack of motivation for this class.

Instead of studying, I've been listening to Maroon 5. I've actually been listening to them a lot lately in the library when I'm doing work. I especially love Never Gonna Leave This Bed; it's probably the best song on their latest album.

Here's something exciting: I get to go home this weekend! I've missed my family quite a bit. We'll hopefully be celebrating Emily's birthday when I get home. I still can't believe she's going to be 18. Every time I look at her, I still see a little curly-headed cutie pie that I used to play Barbies with and write silly letters to. It's strange to think about these memories and realize how much time has really gone by. As sad as it is to think that we've all grown up so far past our childish innocence, it is truly a blessing to still have such a fantastic bond with my sisters. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't talk to them all of the time and reminisce about the ridiculous things we used to do as kids.

Even now with Josiah, I feel twice as blessed! To have yet another sibling in my life is almost as if God is saying, "Here you go! Have fun making more memories!" It sounds silly, but it's true! He has definitely created some of the most fun and crazy adventures in my life and I could not be happier to have a little brother that not only helps me relive my childhood through all of the stories I get to read to him, but also makes me overjoyed to be a part of a family that is so full of love.

So all I can say to you readers is this: Never take your family for granted. Let them know you love them every single day, and even when there happens to be bad times, always remember the good times. :)

I'm a slacker.

I haven't been blogging at ALL lately! This needs to change. Lately whenever I have free time I play this little Facebook game called The Sims Social. It sucks me in and consumes my life. Some of my friends are convinced I should delete it to save myself from failing all of my classes, but my Sim needs me! ...I really should get rid of it, though.

Interestingly enough, I have another blog I had to create for my World Literature class. It's mostly book reviews and random questions I respond to in class, but if it moves you, feel free to peruse. http://dolcean.wordpress.com/

In other news, my life has been so busy with classwork. Plus, my crocheting skills have been improving. That's another thing I've really been working on in my free time when I'm not on Facebook. I finished making my first hat this week and I'm trying to start a new one! I've also been working at the football games at the bars on the 5th floor of the stadium. It's a great job so far, plus we get drunk rich people tips! Gotta love those die-hard Mountaineer fans!

I wish I could post more about my ever so wonderful life, but there's not much else to say for now. I'll try to blog more, even though I'm sure very few people read my blog anyway. :)

Random facts!

I know that no one cares about random Q&A's... but they are fun to do. So, with work at 7:15 in the morning... I must be a crazy person for doing one. Oh well, don't care! (But I will when I have to wake up at 6. Yuck.)

Do you still have tonsils?  Yes, I do. Haven't had much of a reason to get them out, so I definitely don't plan to.

Would you bungee jump? You know what... sure. But it would have to be with someone I know and in an exotic place.

If you could do anything in the world for a living, what would it be? I would want to work for Pixar and learn how to do animation and be an animator. Also, voice-overs. :)

How many tattoos do you have? I have none. I've always wanted one, but I'm too chicken to ever actually get one.

Your favorite fictional animal?
When I was little... Minnie Mouse, hands down. But for present day, let me see... Probably Dumbo. :3

One person that never fails to make you laugh? I have a LOT of friends who make me laugh, but my one friend Nick is always 100% hilarious.

Do you consider yourself well organized?  Oh, definitely. Sometimes I could care less about the messes around me, but other times it is baaaad. I'm the type of person who unpacks immediately after getting home after a trip.

Any Addictions? Sugar, froyo, online shopping, texting, Facebook, and a mild coffee addiction. There are probably more, but these are the ones that instantly came to mind. Haha.

From what news source do you receive the bulk of your news? It's sad to say that Tumblr is my main source of information... other than that, I get my information from informed friends and whatever news channel my parents have on.

Would you rather go to a carnival or circus? Okay, this is a hard question. I like carnivals, but I looove the circus.

When you were twelve years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? I think I wanted to be an astronaut.

Best Movie You've Seen This Year? I really enjoyed seeing Water For Elephants, but Bridesmaids was hilarious. I love that movie. Oh, and of COURSE HP: DH pt 2.

Favorite alcoholic drink? Beer-wise, I love Blue Moon's Spring blonde wheat ale. Aside from that, I'm a sucker for an Irish Car Bomb.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Check my phone to see what time it is. Then, depending on the time, I either roll out of bed, or right back over.

Siblings? An older sister, a younger sister, and a wittle baby brudder!

What is the best thing about your job? Kids can be hilarious. And they always give me some good stories to tell.
Have you ever gone to therapy? Nope, but it was definitely considered when I was going through a lot in middle school.

If you could have one super power what would it be? Oh man... probably the ability to fly and never get tired.

Do you own any furniture from IKEA? No, but I would love to.

Have you ever gone camping? Ohhh, yeah. I love going camping, but it has to be the perfect weather. Otherwise it's miserable.

Gas prices! First thought? Go back down!
Your favorite cartoon character? There are too many to pick from! I guess Patrick from Spongebob is pretty hilarious... or Jake from Adventure Time. I love him.

What was your first car?  A white 1995 Toyota Celica. It's not really *my* car, though.

Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual? No. I'm all about the wedding shows.

The Cosby Show or the Simpsons? I never really watched either of them much, but I'd say The Simpsons.

Do you go to church?  Nope.

What famous person would you like to have dinner with? Assuming they have to be alive, I'd love to have dinner with Andy Samberg. I feel like that would be a dinner to remember.

What errand/chore do you despise?  The dishes. They're so gross.

First thought when you woke up this morning? Why is my boss texting me at 7:30 in the morning?!

What is your heritage? Italian, German, Swiss, and Dutch.

Favorite flower? Sunflowers. :)

Disney or Warner Bros? Disney! Which reminds me... DISNEY WORLD IN 2 DAYS YEAAAAAYUUUHHH

What is your best childhood memory? Going to... DISNEY WOOORRRRLLLDDDD! And the beach, too.

Your favorite potato chip? Baked Lays. Although they have been getting less and less tasty. I do like salt and vinegar chips... they're addicting. I can never stop eating them once I start.

What is your favorite candy? I have too many favorites to just pick one. It depends on my mood! Right now I'd love some peach rings.

Do you burn or tan?  Tan, tan, tan!

Astrological sign?  Leo, and loving it.

Do you own a gun? That would be a negative.

What do you think of hot dogs? They're delicious, until I think about them.

Good news; Nancy has gone away! I'm so happy to finally be healthy again.

As for anything else going on in my life... there really isn't much. Oh yeah, except for that... I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! I am leaving on Saturday for Orlando and I'm never coming back! ...But I will eventually. By force. Anywho, I'm super excited to go!

Yesterday I went to the Sublime and 311 concert... which was epic. Sublime was pretty good, but 311 was fantastic. I remember finding them in middle school and just loving them instantly. They played all of the songs I wanted to hear, so I was pretty satisfied. :)

As for today, I was pretty exhausted after work. It's pretty depressing how tired I get after working all day. The second I hit the couch and put my head down, I pass straight out. Ridiculousness.

In other news, for a good song to chill out to, I will suggest this one.

GET OUT OF MY LIFE, NANCY.

Yesterday, after playing phone tag with the receptionist at the doctor's, the nurse finally called back and declared that the strep test was 100% negative. I knew it was just you, Nancy... ugh. I'm still sick, but feeling a lot better. I'm hopeful that tomorrow might be the day I feel new again, but I don't want to jinx it.

Speaking of "jinx"... since I've been sick, I've been playing a lot of Pokemon. And I mean a LOT. Even though I recently bought Pokemon Black, I decided to continue on my Pokemon Soul Silver journey instead. I've been training my Jynx all day, but I don't think my team is ready to face the Elite Four just yet.
...Maybe tomorrow I should read a book or crochet. Hahaha.

After being stuck in my house for 5 full days now (minus the trip to the doctor's), I can officially say that I have a mild case of cabin fever. I've been feeling irritable every now and then, along with quite a bit of loopiness. Yesterday and today I found myself laughing at things that probably aren't really as funny as I think they are. The point I think I'm trying to make is: I need to get out of here!

So Nancy, if you have it in your heart, please get out of my life and leave me alone. I'm no good at being sick. I want to be out of bed so I can play with my wittle brudder and eat normal foods and ice cream. I promise to take all of my vitamins next time and be more of a germaphobe when I'm around kids. If you leave now, I can assure you that life will be much happier in Virusland rather than in my body.

Sincerely,
Amy

Being sick is only good for a handful of reasons.

When you're sick you can...
-Skip out on work
-Watch TV
-Sleep in
-Sleep and not worry about anyone bothering you
-Sometimes have people make food for you

But there are A LOT of things you can't do if you want to get better.
For instance, you can't...
-Eat ice cream
-Eat candy
-Eat anything worth eating
-Hang out with people
-Go to work and make monies
-Go on trips
-Go to concerts
-Go ANYWHERE except bed
-Forget to take your medicine

I could go on. But seriously, being sick is horrible right now. And I really should be sleeping, but I had a very long nap today after my trip to the doctor's. So with my confused, restless body combined with my sore throat... I can't sleep. I guess things could be worse, though. I tested negative for strep, but they put me on antibiotics just in case. I can't say I was too thrilled to have left there without a proper diagnosis, but if it's not strep, it's only a stupid virus. So since they couldn't even name the virus, I'm just going to name it myself. Nancy the virus.
They said they'd do extra tests to see if it's strep and call me on Wednesday, so if it's not strep and it's just Nancy, then I can stop taking my antibiotics.

Nancy, if you're in there... I don't like you for making me sick. I need to work so I can make monies! Although today was a nice day off. No one likes to work on Monday. :P

I hate being sick.

So... I think I might be catching a cold. It was probably from a kid at work... ugh. I'm going to start taking a packet of Emergen-C every morning before work, now. All I really have is a sore throat, slight congestion, and a pretty severe headache. I shouldn't even be on the computer right now; I should be sleeping.

Anyway, aside from feeling under the weather, I also felt pretty productive today. Spencer and I loaded my car with all of my books I've been meaning to get rid of for years and brought them to a used bookstore. I ended up getting around $85 store credit and $9 in cash. After getting all of those books out, I felt pretty accomplished. With my store credit, I bought the 1st season of The Big Bang Theory and a giant Star Wars book filled with poster art. It's really cool. :) Spencer said it would make a nice coffee table book, haha.

Oh, I also got a new phone! I love it so far. Learning how to text on a touch screen is hard, though. Especially with autocorrect always trying to get in the way of my slang. :P I've had the weirdest things come up, but luckily I catch the mistakes before I send them. Sometimes.

I better go to bed now so I can rest up for work tomorrow. I'm just thankful I only have to work for 2 hours. Yay, Mondays.
